S comes to us with a background in Olympic weightlifting and powerlifting. For the past three years, S had trained in these sports under the guidance of experienced coaches at Strength Ratio in Asheville, NC.
S has over a decade of athletic experience, playing a number of competitive sports for high school, college, and recreational teams.
S believes that fitness is for every body, and is passionate about creating a safe and welcoming space for everyone, no matter where they are in their individual fitness journey.
S believes that increasing mobility and physical strength helps to build confidence and capacity both inside and outside of the gym environment.
As a coach, S recognizes the importance of differentiation and strives to work with each athlete to pursue and reach their personal training goals.Outside of coaching at 2311, S is pursuing a Master’s degree in Biology from Western Carolina University studying the microbial ecology of deep-sea corals.
Prior to returning to school, S was a middle and high school science teacher for almost a decade. Beyond training, coaching, teaching, and research, S enjoys playing music, hiking, birding, and single-handedly keeping local coffee shops in business.
Chelsea Williams has spent most of her life playing competitive soccer, practicing the art of Gracie Jiu jitsu, and having an avid interest in nutrition and wellness. Chelsea received her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida in 2011 and moved to the beautiful mountains of WNC later that year.
After working locally as a Clinical Allergy Specialist, Chelsea decided to pursue her interest in nutrition and graduated from Western Carolina University with a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics. Chelsea is a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist and currently is completing her Master’s in Health Science from Western Carolina University.
Chelsea not only fell in love with the mountains and community of WNC, but also with her husband, Kevin. Together they are raising their son Rowen and could not think of a better place to call home.

Dr. Eric Yarrington
Dr. Eric Yarrington has been involved with the CrossFit methodology since 2009. Eric received his Bachelor of Science in Exercise and Sport Sciences from the University of Florida (Athletic Training Program) and Master’s of Physical Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. He earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2009 from Nova Southeastern University. Dr. Yarrington is a board certified Orthopaedic Clinical Specialist. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Physical Therapists and the American Physical Therapy Association.
Eric and Shannon moved to WNC in 1997 and are raising their four daughters Isabelle, Hannah, Sophie, and Stella. They feel blessed to live in this mountain community. They have co-owned Yarrington Physical Therapy & Sports Care since 2006. Along with friend Dr. Jason Bodnar, founded and direct the non-profit Waynesville Main Street Mile Run for the Children; this annual summer road race has helped them donate thousands of dollars in support of Shriners Hospitals for Children in Greenville, SC. The Yarringtons are active members of St. Margaret of Scotland Roman Catholic Church in Maggie Valley, NC.

Shannon Yarrington is a former competitive gymnast and avid CrossFitter. Shannon received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Western Carolina University. Shannon LOVES the sport of gymnastics and CrossFit has given her the opportunity to do what she loves….flip on bars, walk on her hands and push herself further than she ever thought possible. Shannon is as passionate about CrossFit and is excited about sharing it with the people in Western North Carolina.

Sam has been involved with Crossfit 2311 since June of 2013 and earned his CrossFit Level I in July of 2014. He was a competitive triathlete and nationally ranked swimmer growing up. Sam graduated from Tuscola High School in 2012 where he participated in basketball and track. He is currently a student at Western Carolina University. Sam is very active in local CrossFit competitions and hopes to one day make the CrossFit Regionals.
