What is SpinalFit? It’s an exercise program designed to help any BODY, regardless of health or fitness level, gradually increasing your Health with a safety focus.
How does SpinalFit work? Designed to work on many levels from the musculo- skeletal system to the neuro-endocrine system, SpinalFit utilizes multiple exercises to strengthen spinal core muscles, retrain proper motor recruitment patterns of functional movements, and stimulate a neuro-endocrine hormonal release. Basically, it’s a total body workout designed with your safety in mind!
Who can do SpinalFit? “Every BODY can do it!” We really mean it; Spinalfit is designed to accommodate everyone and is an especially great program for those with various needs, limitations, and injuries.
What should I wear to SpinalFit? Normal workout clothing or comfortable clothing along with lightweight tennis shoes.
Will I continuously exercise during SpinalFit sessions? No, our sessions are divided into 4 parts: 1) Spinal Basics, 2) The Warm up, 3) Skill Session, and 4) The Spinalfit Workout.
Is SpinalFit a group workout? Yes and no; though not a traditional group format like traditional gyms or yoga studios, SpinalFit is a group of individuals doing the same exercises individualized to their abilities and skills.
Can any gym teach SpinalFit? Dr. No. CrossFit 2311 was the first affiliate licensed to teach the program designed by Phillip E Carlyle DC, CCWP, BCIM, a licensed Doctor of Chiropractic over 16 years, Board Certified in Integrative Medicine, and Georgia’s 1st Board Certified Wellness Physician. A gym must be certified to teach this program. Dr. Eric Yarrington, PT, DPT, CrossFit Level 2 Trainer oversees the program . With a lifetime of exercise knowledge and experience ranging from multiple high school sports to 6 years as a United States Marine, Dr. Carlyle is also a Certified CrossFit Level 1 & 2 Trainer, CrossFit Kids Trainer, and United States Association of Weightlifting Level 1 Sports Performance Trainer.
